I Received this in an e-mail I support it 100%.

As Christians Let's Stop Pandering to the Big Companies that are so Totally Anti-Christian.

-----
This is unbelievable! Here is what our country and Christianity has come to now. I VERIFIED THIS STORY ON:
http://www.truthorfiction.com/rumors/abc-practice.htm
Jim Neugent is a coach in Childress, Texas.
Jim writes:
My name is Jim Neugent. I wrote to ABC (on-line) concerning a program
called "THE PRACTICE." In last nights episode, one of the lawyer's
mothers decided she is gay and wanted her son to go to court and help
her get a marriage license so she could marry her 'partner.'
I sent the following letter to ABC yesterday and really did not expect a
reply, but I did get one. My original message was: ABC is obsessed (or
should I say abscessed) with the subject of homosexuality. I will no
longer watch any of your attempts to convince the world that homosexuality
is OK. THE PRACTICE can be a fairly good show, but last night's program
was so typical of your agenda. You picked the dufus' of the office to be
the one who was against the idea of his mother being gay and made him
look like a whiner because he had convictions. This type of mentality calls
people like me a "gay basher." Read the first chapter of Romans (that's
in the Bible) and see what the apostle Paul had to say about it.... He, God
and Jesus were all 'gay bashers'. What if she'd fallen in love with her
cocker spaniel? Is that an alternative lifestyle? (By the way, the Bible
speaks against that, too.)
--Jim Neugent
Here is ABC's reply from the ABC on-line webmaster:
How about getting your nose out of the Bible (which is ONLY a book of
stories compiled by MANY different writers hundreds of years ago) and
read the declaration of independence (what our nation is built on) where it
says "All Men are Created equal" --and try treating them that way for a
change! Or better yet, try thinking for yourself and stop using an archaic
book of stories as your lame crutch for your existence. You are in
minority in this country and your boycott will not affect us or our
freedom of expression.

Jim Neugent's second response to ABC:
Thanks for your reply. >From your harsh reply, evidently I hit a nerve.
I will share it with all with whom I come in contact. Hopefully, the
Arkansas Democrat Newspaper will include it in one of their columns and
I will be praying for you.
-Jim Neugent

Note: Wouldn't Satan just love it if people stopped using the Bible for
a crutch? Please resend this to everyone in your mailbox.
Thanks, Jim Neugent
Read this, and then pass it on, it is sure an eye-opener
I wonder if the person from ABC considered how many people would read
this e-mail! This is one we should definitely pass on.

Mr. Brown, you have bought into a hoax, an "urban legend." Although the exchange has been updated to include a new TV show, the original hoax is some years old, and has been thoroughly debunked long ago. Although it continues to circulate over the Internet, it never happened.

Pelagius2- I went to www.snopes.com, typed in ABC and this story came up verifying that it is true and happened regarding a show on "Practice" on April 4th, 1999.
The letter sent by the viewer went to ABC Webmaster and was answered by a person in no authority to do so. "Jim" received a letter of apology and was assured the man was fired.
David had the right show, correct letter, wrong episode, wrong
year, according to Snopes.
Pelagius2- you called this urban legend, totally debunked. May
I ask where you got your information? Can it be that we can't even trust our url research sites anymore either? It appears you and I
have gotten different info doesn't it?
Let me know, dear Pelagius2, where your info was gathered. I would
hate to think I can no longer trust my info site.
Thanks! Have a good weekend.....FMP2

Whatever happened to the notion, if you find something offensive, turn your head. No one is forcing anyone to watch TV ... and of course, the time proven method of writing letters can change things if you are so inclined; and that's the course taken here.
Incidentally, I have added a new Bible section to my web site where I quote actual verses of the Bible with my own added thoughts. The last one was Numbers 31: 14 - 18

I personally find those verses offensive, but I guess since it's in the Bible and therefore must either be the Word of God or inspired by God, it can not be offensive to the true believer. What is quoted comes from Moses'mouth .... feel free to read it from your own particular version:

Moses was angry with the officers of the army-the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds-who returned from the battle.
"Have you allowed all the women to live?" he asked them. "They were the ones who followed Balaam's advice and were the means of turning the Israelites away from the Lord in what happened at Peor, so that a plague struck the Lord's people. Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man."
Numbers 31:14 - 18 (NIV-IBS)

I find that offensive ... to whom do I complain? Could you imagine if that were made into a TV series ... wouldn't you find that offensive? Just trying to put things in perspective. Here instead of a gay mother we have a religious figure saying it's OK to kill, but save the 'best' for yourself. All the best (no pun intended), Dave Horne - The Netherlands

Hi Dave,

Glad to see that you still make time in your schedule to pay us an occasional visit.

I think that All complaints directed towards God Bible should be taken up with God.

You arent asking people to attempt to correct-speak for God are you? Of course not!

All the Best,

David
